The Professor -
Growing up in a foreign country without a television, my family naturally turned to reading, while my siblings and I enjoyed plenty of outdoor adventures. My passion for books began with the original Hardy Boys Series from my father’s collection, followed by the Hardy Boys Casefiles, Nancy Drew, and Tom Swift, eventually leading me to read Last the Breed.

As I matured, my reading remained largely focused on fiction until I discovered historical non-fiction through Band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose. Over the years, I've built a substantial library of both fiction and non-fiction, with classics like David Copperfield, The Count of Monte Cristo, and Robinson Crusoe among my favorites.

Along the way I did a tremendous amount of reading for my bachelor's in religious education, Master of Divinity, Doctorate and PhD and in time it is my desire to go back and re-read some of those and review them for Faith Literati Books.
Just for fun, in the 2020s, I discovered Will Thomas's Some Danger Involved, which has become my favorite new series, captivating me through 15 novels. Additionally, I enjoy reading Christian non-fiction aimed at pastors, along with biographies and autobiographies.
I have read through the Holy Bible (KJV) multiple times and read it every day. It is the most influential manuscript in my life.
Some of my favorite authors include John Grisham Will Thomas, Erik Larson, Stephen Ambrose, David McCullough, Eric Metaxas, and Charles Dickens.

Lady Grey -
My passion for reading began at an early age, serving as an escape from reality that I often felt the need to avoid. Over time, my reading evolved into a way to deepen my understanding of my community, country and the history of the world.
During my time at college for my bachelor's and master's degrees and taking continuing credits, reading books became a bit more overwhelming. It was then that I discovered a course called, The Art of Effective Reading. This experience taught me to absorb content fully as a whole page in fiction and conceptually in non-fiction. More study on the art of reading lead me to annotate pages, jot down notes on post it notes, and keep literature journals.
These strategies shaped me into the reader I am today, exploring topics such as theology, discipleship, education, homeschooling, wellness, marriage, parenting and of course, reading for fun.

As a daughter, wife, mother, ministry partner, teacher, and former case manager and crisis intervention counselor, I have read and will continue to process my way through numerous books on various topics.

A few of the books that have shaped my life to this point have been The Holy Bible by God, The Life-Giving Home by Sally Clarkson, Redeeming Love and The Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers, The Survival Mom by Lisa Bedford, Gospel-Centered Mom by Brooke McGlothlin, Uncovering The Love of Jesus by Asheritah Ciuciu, Holiness by Nancy Leigh DeMoss, Women of the Word by Jen Wilkin, and Teaching From Rest by Sarah Mackenzie.
These books have either profitable for learning, convicting, offering solutions for correcting areas that need direction, or have hit a nerve that needed hit, even fictional, that grew me and changed me for the better in some way.
Some of favorite authors that I frequently revisit include Sally Clarkson, Francine Rivers, Janette Oke, Lisa Tawn Bergren, Asheritah Ciuciu, Nancy Leigh DeMoss Walgemuth, Jen Wilkin.
