When we (The Professor & Lady Grey) decided to start our blog, the name Faith Literati Books was not chosen lightly. It reflects the core of who we are and what we stand for. Our faith in Jesus Christ guides us every day, our belief in the need of education shapes how we think, and our love for books fuels our passion to share stories and insights with others. This blog is our personal space where these three pillars come together, inviting readers to explore literature through a lens of faith and learning.

Faith Matters in Our Reading Journey
Faith is the foundation of our lives and the reason we approach literature with a unique perspective. For us, faith in Jesus Christ is not just a belief but a way of seeing the world. It influences the themes we look for in books and the lessons we take away from them. When we read, we seek stories that inspire hope, encourage kindness, and challenge us to grow spiritually and mold us and our family unit.
Our faith helps us navigate through the seemingly unlimited world of literature with discernment. Not every book aligns with our values, so we carefully select those that enrich our understanding and support our spiritual journey. This approach allows us to offer book reviews that are honest and thoughtful, highlighting both the strengths and limitations of each work.
The Importance of Being Well-Educated
Literati means well-educated. Education is more than formal schooling. Education is the lifelong pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. We believe that being well-educated means staying curious, asking questions, and learning from diverse sources, and reading books is a sure-fire way to do these things.
Through our blog, we want to encourage readers to embrace education in all its forms. Whether it’s reading classic literature, exploring new genres, or diving into nonfiction that expands your worldview, every book has something to teach. Our goal is that our book reviews could perhaps guide readers toward works that challenge their thinking and deepen their understanding.
Our Love for Books and Literature
Books have always been a source of joy and comfort for us. We were both avid readers before we got married because of our upbringing and desire for escape. We both agree that books open doors to new worlds, introduce us to different cultures, and connect us with ideas that shape who we are.
We have always enjoyed sharing our favorite books and discussing how they relate to faith and education even before the blog was born. As a family we often sit and discuss a variety of books that we each are currently reading. We hope to feature a variety of genres, from historical fiction to theology, poetry to memoirs. Are goal is to craft each post to help you (the reader) discover books that resonate with your own journey.

How We Approach Book Reviews
Book reviews are a key part of our blog because they provide practical insights for readers looking for meaningful literature. We focus on several aspects in our reviews:
Content and themes: Does the book align with Christian values? Does it offer educational value?
Writing style: Is the book engaging and well-written?
Impact: How did the book affect us personally? What can readers expect to gain?
Audience: Who would benefit most from reading this book?
By sharing these details, we hope to help readers make informed choices and find books that enrich their lives.
Building a Community of Faith and Learning
Faith Literati Books is more than a blog; it’s a community. We want to connect with readers who share our passion for faith, education, and literature. Through comments, discussions, and shared experiences, we aim to create a space where ideas can be exchanged respectfully and thoughtfully.
We encourage readers to suggest books, share their own reviews, and engage with the content. This interaction helps us grow together and keeps the conversation alive.
Final Thoughts on Our Name and Mission
Choosing the name Faith Literati Books was a deliberate decision that reflects our identity and mission. It reminds us of the values we hold dear and the audience we want to serve. Our faith in Jesus Christ grounds us, our commitment to education drives us, and our love for books inspires us.
